How can Americans allow a party that caused a WAR based on lies remain in the presidential race?  I’m writing today from Philadelphia, the birthplace of our great nation, and here in Philly if you lie to your boss you will be fired.  Why does the same standard not apply to our nation’s most prominent position, especially about something as powerful as WAR? 

It does, and the American people will prove it in November.

I would like to take a moment to write about WAR.  Admittedly, I have never been in a WAR and I hope never to be.  I admit that without having been engaged in a WAR I cannot truly appreciate the meaning of the word.  That being said, I believe the word, WAR, is used so often that it’s true meaning becomes diluted with many of us.  WAR IS MURDER.  WAR is children with their legs blown off; WAR is disfigured innocent human beings; WAR is the rape of innocence; WAR is a mother being told about the death of her son or daughter; WAR is not a game.  You do not start a WAR with American soldiers, bombs,  and money based on lies like George Bush did.  If I lied to my boss I would be fired too.

It is accepted fact, that Iraq did not have weapons of mass destruction.  Iraq had absolutely no direct ties to the Taliban organization that was responsible for the devastating attacks against us.  These were lies that were delivered to you and me, from George W. Bush.

McCain supporters would argue that John McCain was not responsible for the lies leading to the Irag WAR and I would agree with them.  John McCain and Sarah Palin do all they can to separate themselves from the prior administration and I cannot blame them.  Call me a close-minded person, but I think that when a group of people hoist one onto their shoulders and appoint him to the ultimate position of leadership they should indeed be held responsible for his decisions. 

FIRE THE REPUBLICAN PARTY!  FORGET WHO THE OPPONENT IS, IT HARDLY MATTERS CONSIDERING THE CIRCUMSTANCES.  YOU WOULD FIRE AN EMPLOYEE THAT STOLE MONEY WHERE YOU WORK.   FIRE THE ADMINSITRATION AND PARTY THAT CAUSED US TO GO TO WAR AND MURDER HUMAN BEINGS THAT SHARE THE RIGHT TO LIFE WITH US.

To answer the question posed in the title of this post: BECAUSE REPUBLICANS ARE HUMAN!

That’s it, that is the reason republicans love Sarah Palin, because they are human beings subject to the same psychological mistakes that humans have been susceptible since the beginning of mankind.  The reason is cognitive dissonance.  Cognitive dissonance is a term coined by psychologists to represent the tendency for humans to frame information they receive in a way that supports their existing beliefs. Since we don't want to think we are not dumb, when information falls in our lap we interpret it in a way that supports our existing beliefs, otherwise we would be forced to question the premise that we are smart and rational beings.

It is SO disturbing for me to hear people talk about Sarah Palin’s interview with Charlie Gibson as a success.  Although I admit to being a Democratic supporter for this election year, I was embarrassed, as an American, how ridiculous and absurd her responses and behavior was. She spent the entire interview avoiding specific questions and regurgitating political power-phrases that were quite obviously fed to her prior to the interview.  She reminded me of myself during the first job interview I ever went to.

Republicans watched the same interview and saw a wonderful politician... Of course they did!  To admit that she was stupid and made a complete fool of herself and the political system in front of the entire planet would mean their fundamental intuitions were wrong, and people are very averse to coming to such a conclusion.

I would like to challenge my Republican readers with an exercise I regularly perform myself with Democratic party members.  Step outside your current mindset and observe this woman, Sarah Palin, as you would a new person that has not already been named the Vice Presidential Nominee by the Republican party.  Accept the fact that your party may have made a political decision that could have dire consequences on the country and see her without the red glasses that you see all other actions of the Republican party.  If you can truly do that, you will see what I see, that she is CRAZY.

Since I’ve started the website, http://www.SarahPalinIsCrazy.com, I have received hundreds of angry messages from people all over the United States that have criticized my assertion that Sarah Palin does not have ENOUGH experience to run the White House and I decided those individuals are right!  Sarah Palin HAS experience…a whole lot of it!

IT IS SARAH PALIN’S EXPERIENCE THAT MAKES HER UNFIT FOR PUBLIC OFFICE AND A WORSE OPTION THAN GEORGE BUSH!

I’m going to focus today on just two small but telling examples to prove that Sarah Palin’s experience is proof that she is not only crazy, but will step deeper into the misguided footsteps of George Bush. You can call me a traitor, and America-hater, or whatever you like.  You can offer to kick my a** (as several have), but do not tell me that I am lying because these are true facts.  During her time in Alaska, Sarah Palin did not believe global warming is man made and she attempted to censor books in the Wasilla public library.

When asked about global warming in the interview here, Sarah Palin said, “I'm not one though who would attribute it to being man-made.” GLOBAL WARMING IS NOT MAN-MADE? Are you kidding me?  Ask any scientist, relatively intelligent person, or 8th grade graduate about the possibility of global warming not being caused by man’s activities and they will tell you that it is as much of a fact as evolution…Oops, bad example.  Palin also thinks creationism should be taught in public school science class.  SCIENCE?  In a modern and enlightened society such as the one we live in, are you seriously considering supporting a candidate for the leadership of this country with such antiquated and uneducated beliefs? SHAME ON YOU!

Although she claims that she never censored books in the Wasilla library and is correct in doing so, Palin did ask then librarian, Ellen Emmons, if she would be okay with removing some of the books and then tried to fire her.  Emmons stated that she would not be okay and received a letter months later that she was going to be fired for not being in support of the mayor.  Censorship or not, is "not being in support of the mayor" an appropriate cause for firing someone?  As president of the United States or mayor of some tiny town in East Bumblemuck, a government employee should not need to support the government to keep their job.  Does that remind you of any dictatorships the United States condemns?  Besides, what does that tell you about a person, that they would even waste the time to be concerned over something like that? For someone who will fight for your second amendment rights, Sarah Palin certainly appears to oppose the first.  I suppose if we could get inside her crazy head, it would probably tell us that Americans do have the right to freedom of the press, as long is they support the reactionary beliefs she holds.  Do you want someone in office that wants to limit American freedom of expression?  SHAME ON YOU!

In conclusion of this short post, I just want to explain that these are only quick examples of why I would rather see George Bush back in the presidency than Sarah Palin.  At least George Bush has seen the error in his ways and would probably be more likely to second-guess his own intuitions.  Sarah Palin has had a glorified and expeditious path to the top of the Alaskan political structure.  Do you think she would second-guess her own thoughts?  She thinks her sh** does not stink.  I CAN SMELL IT IN PHILADELPHIA!   Can you smell it yet?

Let me come right out and say that I'm sure Sarah Palin is a nice person and I really believe she means well. That being said I can honestly say that I think she would destroy the United States as President. 

Let's forget about her supposed lack of executive experience for a moment since she was the governor of Alaska and served several terms as a mayor.  Someone who grew up and spent their entire life in Alaska simply cannot appreciate the reality of running the most diverse country on the planet.  Have you ever met someone that never left your hometown their entire life? If you're reading this thinking "there's nothing wrong with that, I've never left my hometown" you are right; but you are also not trying to run the country and the world. Alaska is arguably the most isolated state in the Union!

Sarah Palin is against a woman's right to control her own body.  Sarah Palin believes the government should disallow abortion.  Sarah Palin has been present at anti-abortion rallies held outside medical facilities as patients entered and left the building.  In nearly every circumstance, deciding to end a pregnancy is one of the most difficult decisions and experiences that could exist in a woman's life.  No woman makes that decision without significant consideration beforehand and without a lifetime of consideration afterward.  Imagine walking past hoards of scornful people holding signs, yelling, and looking at you like a monster before and after one of the most private and heart-wrenching moments of your life.  Sarah Palin has done that to women and is proud of it.

Sarah Palin is George Bush.  She is religiously self-righteous.  She does and says what people tell her to.  She believes that we can kill terrorists and make America safe without creating more terrorists than were there to begin with.  I am not a religious person, but considering how people characterize God, how could God support dropping bombs on innocent civilians?  She believes as long as her intentions are good, America can do no wrong and that is a VERY SCARY THOUGHT.

She is wrong, and Sarah Palin is crazy.
